People & Places: Jason Ward

The Housing Development Fund of Stamford, a nonprofit bank providing funding for affordable housing and homebuyer assistance programs, has named Jason Ward as a senior multifamily loan officer. He will provide assistance with the organization's Multifamily Loan Fund.

Ward previously was a commercial and commercial mortgage backed securities underwriting consultant for Zenta in New York City. He has worked in the equity/debt underwriting group at Charter Mac in New York and also worked in its Fannie Mae Delegated Underwriting Program and served on the Freddie Mac Risk Share Underwriting team. Before that, he served as a project manager for Sofia Construction in Mount Sinai, N.Y.

A resident of New York City, Ward has a bachelor of business administration degree in finance from Hofstra University and has done course work in international finance at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Holland.

HDF's Multi-Family Lending Program provides technical assistance to developers and municipalities and works with the private sector, nonprofits and government entities to facilitate the development of affordable housing.
